How to register

Before you register, please read this important IELTS Information.

We recommend you register for an IELTS exam at least 5 weeks in advance. Places are limited and are on a first-come-first-served basis.

Online Registration

Please book your IELTS test online.

Online registration will entitle you to a free 30-hour online preparation course called Road to IELTS. It will also allow you to check your results online for up to 35 days after they are released.

Online registration is easy. Just follow these four steps:

Step 1: Fill out the online registration form using the links above.

Step 2: If you did not upload your identity document when you registered online, email a scanned copy of the ID you will use on the test day. The ID document must be either a valid passport, a National ID Card from a European Union country or a UK Biometric Residence Card. Please contact us before you book your test if you are not sure if your ID is acceptable.

You can email scanned documents to [email protected]

Step 3: Make your payment for the test fee.

You can pay the 2019 fee of £170.00 in the following ways:
Pay Online 2019

- Phone 01423 531969 with a credit or debit card, during office hours (Monday to Friday, 08.45 to 16.45).

Step 4: Once we have received the documents and payment, we will send you a confirmation email. Then approximately 7 days before the test date, we will send a second email with all test times and information you need.

Please check your email inbox and junk mail inbox regularly. You may also wish to list our email address [email protected] as ‘not junk mail' or ‘safe' in your email provider's settings.

Bookings must be completed no later than 3 days after you register and no later than 3 days before your IELTS test.

Note: Speaking tests at the Leeds venue may take place on a different day to the main exam. You will be informed of this by email when your booking is confirmed.

Do you have any special requirements due to ill health / medical condition?

If you answer ‘yes' to this question on the online application you must provide a doctor's letter or medical report. The medical evidence must be no more than two years old and must be sent to us at least 3 months before the date of the test.  This is only available for paper-based IELTS.

IELTS is not recommended for under 16's.
